Active in the field of films and television since 1997. Started acting career with a noticeable cameo in the cult classic Satya. Rose to prominence with the central character Durga Narayan Chaudhary, in the movie Jungle. Won the IIFA and Zee Cine awards.He then went on to star in period dramas such as Ambedkar and The Legend of Bhagat Singh, and established himself in Bollywood. He has also starred in a few Telugu films. Recently, he is hosting the crime show Savdhaan India, aired by Life OK and STAR Utsav.
