Sayantani is a vocalist, trained in Indian Hindustani Classical Music. She is a B High artist in All India Radio/Akashvani, Prasar Bharati in Bhajan. Although, Sayantani has been trained in classical music, she also performs lighter forms of Indian music. Apart from performances in India, she performed in abroad which includes concert organized by “ASHA ZURICH”, in Zurich, Switzerland and live concerts in Israel and USA (Washington and San Diego) .

Her initial training in vocal music started at the age of seven in a local music school. Eventually she became a regular student of “SHRUTINANDAN”, a well-known school of Pandit Ajoy Chakrabarty and pursued her music training under his guidance. There, her classes started under all respected teachers, including Kaushiki Chakrabarty, an internationally acclaimed Indian classical vocalist.

In the year 2010, she became a scholar of ITC Sangeet Research Academy, a prestigious organization established with the motive of preserving and promoting Hindustani classical music, under “Guru Pandit Ajoy Chakrabarty”. This greatly inspired her towards learning and developing "Khayal" singing and also other lighter forms of Indian vocal music.

She secured 2nd position in All India Radio Music Competition in “Bhajan” in 2010 and became a regular artist of the All India Radio. She was awarded a certificate in “Bhajan” in the “Dover Lane Music Competition” in 2009. Also being a student of “SHRUTINANDAN” she did participate in quite a few television shows conducted by the school.

In the year 2013, her first music album “SOMOY” was launched. “SOMOY” is a collection of modern Bengali songs, directed by well-known musicians Buddhadeb Ganguly and Sayan Ganguly.
