I act as an NRI (Punjabi-Canadian) who visits India to get his son married. He is introduced to Maninder (Mr. Ayub Khan, the veteran thespian), who requests me to rescue his daughter from the clutches of Harak Singh (Mr. Sudesh Berry) and get her married to my son and take her back to Canada. But my character turns negative, where I plan to kidnap her instead and grab Maninder's property. In the end, I am shown as having failed to carry out my nefarious plans, so I blackmail Maninder instead in parting with Rs. 5 lacs and go back to Canada.
Honorable Mention (Short Film)
Role Protagonist (Prof A Das)
Start Date 07-11-2014 End Date 13-11-2014
A botany professor (played by me) has a fatalist attitude towards life and rejoices in the fact that he has always come up second best. His students, however, want to tempt destiny and surreptitiously send his research paper to the US so that he would get his due credit. But here too, his work is said to only be a follow up work on some other scientist's work and he (Prof Das) has got only an 'Honorable Mention'. However, at the end destiny plays spoilsport again, when the bus he had declined to get into is involved in an accident where all the passengers die.
