Though a Mechanical Engineer from MANIT-Bhopal by qualification and retired Deputy General Manager from Steel Authority of India Limited - Bhilai Steel Plant, I am a "Musician" by hobby right from childhood. When in class IX of school I won First Prize in the 'Inter School Music Competition - category Light-Instrumental' organize by the "Sports & Recreation Council" fo 'Bhilai Steel Plant' by playing then latest hit from the film 'Waqt' "Ae Meri Zoharzabeen" on 'Banjo'. Over the years learnt to play vaious musical instruments viz Piano-Accordion, Harmonium, Mouthorgan, Keyboards, Spanish-Guitar, Piano, Djembe, Naal etc. Participated in the Open Age Talent Hunt "HUNAR BHILAI KA - 2014" category 'Instrumental' by playing three basic instruments proficiently BANJO, MOUTHORGAN & HARMONIUM. Incidentally all the three were included in the list of permitted instruments for the World Cultural Festival but I got special permission to play "Piano-Accordion" and was the sole Accordionist in the Symphony of 8500 musicians playing 50 different basic instruments.
on 15-Feb-2015 performed in "Ravindra Natya Mandir" near Sidhhivinayak Temple in Mumbai on the occasion of "Jyeshthotsav - 2015".
Conversant with the "Indian SARGAM" as well as "Western Staff-Notations", post retirement instead of continuing to give services as Mechanical Engineering, Design & Projects Consultant I have opted to be into The Art of Living having done upto Pre-TTC courses, being a Bhajan Singer with Guitar/Harmonium/Naal/Djembe/Mouthorgan/Accordion as the accompanying instrument, and, have been taking classes for children on playing various instruments.
