It’s these words that ring with fervor for Akshay Datta. Hailing from a Punjabi family from the national capital (New Delhi), Akshay grew up on a staple diet of Music & Cinema courtesy his family; thus, from an extremely young age, has been enamored by the creative arts. In addition being an MBA from the prestigious Indian School of Business (ISB) & an Ex–Brand manager at the Future Group, his passion for the creative arts is what he holds most dear.

He is also a trained actor from MisF!T – My Interest Stays Firmly in Theatre – Ratan Thakore Grant’s Studio for Acting & Pravahah Theatre laboratory under Neeraj Kabi. He has acted in a variety of roles across genres & styles, including that of Freddy Eynsford–Hill in My Fair Lady, Sherlock Holmes in A Scandal in Bohemia, Skimbleshanks The Railway Cat in Cats, as a Bambai Bhai in the production As an artist, it is his constant endeavour to push beyond his limits & be honest in his expression of the craft, and he dreams to bring to India a Best Actor Oscar & a Grammy Award for Best Vocal Performance.
In addition, he is a vocalist whose style ranges from Hindustani Classical to Western Music, and fronted several bands such as the alternative funk rock band Paradigm Shift, the fusion bands Culture Shock, Yuga Negative & Undercurrent. He has also won several awards for singing, some of which include the Infosys Super Singer judged by Vasundhara Das in 2013 & the ITM University Singing Idol in 2011.
He has been trained in Hindustani Classical Music & a certified actor in the Method style of acting having worked under Patrick Grant, Judith Roby Bidapa & Neeraj Kabi.
In addition, his belief is that accents & cadence are vital for the creation of characters & thus, he has essayed characters with specific accents, some of which were British English, American English, Italian, French, Irish, Scottish, Russian, Mumbaiiya, Gujurati, Punjabi & Bengali. He has also auditioned for the Hollywood films "Lion" & "Aladdin" as well, along with the musical version of "Aladdin"
