Hello,
I am Vikas Singh Rawat.
Originally an Uttaranchali Rajput, I was born and raised in Haryana and Delhi; and identify myself now, as a Mumbaikar, ever since I left for acting in 2011. I am currently 29 years old.
I have struggled to be able to get in touch with people like you.
A little about my journey this far; I started off theater with IPTA, Delhi and shadowed a few NSDians. I studied BA Hindi Honours, twice almost, and am more comfortable with Hindi as a spoken language than I have been with English.?
In Mumbai, I have worked in a lot of plays and serials, which I gradually stopped a few years back, out of larger Bollywood dreams.
?A year back, I had the opportunity to play the co-lead in badminton based Bollywood movie, Sweet Spot. It is a debut by National Geographic Director, Biplob Kakati, with a female protagonist; I played her cousin brother who gives up his dreams to coach her to success, shot in Assam and a few other parts of the North East.
I honestly thought this would give me a platform to be noticed by people like you, but the movie is still going through releasing budget issues; and as an actor, I can only wait.
Also, apart from acting, I trained myself in boxing, karate, taekwondo. (swimming and horse-hockey during school & college). I teach MMA currently to kids and a few clients locally, to try and earn bread while not acting.
I also sing and have dubbed for friends' ventures out of just passion.
I would be grateful for an opportunity to meet to show you, possibly, if it is called, my talent. Please, for now, do consider seeing my attached submissions of a few audition videos and few looks. (I am grateful to be lucky with how little changes in my facial hair gives me several weirdly different looking faces. Do not know which one I really am. But have always hoped would be a great casting opportunity someday.
Thank you very much for the opportunity, time and interest.
Regards,
Vikas Pratap Singh Rawat
